VW have released the prices for their Volkswagen Amarok double cab pick up in the UK. There are three variants – the Startline, Trendline and Highline – expect an Amarok Sportline to join the line up after launch?
The prices for the entry-level Startline start at £16,995 (£17,820 OTR+VAT), £2,000 more for the Trendline and a further £2,500 for the Highline.
Amarok buyers can choose from two power outputs – 163 or 122PS - both from VW’s excellent 2 litre Bi-Turbo diesel. The lower powered version is only available on the Startline variant.
As standard you get 16” alloys, VW’s 4MOTION all wheel drive system, power windows front and back, aircon and CD player. The Amarok is kept safely on the road thanks to 6 airbags as standard plus ESP (Electronic Stability Programme) incorporating Brake Assist System (BAS), Traction Control System (TCS), Electronic Differential Lock (EDL), Hill Hold Assist, Hill Descent Control, Trailer Stability Control and off-road ABS, designed to shorten stopping distances significantly on loose surfaces.
