Built to last and with an eye for cost-effectiveness, the range of Isuzu pick-up trucks is perfect for commercial use, whether in the construction industry or on farm tracks or forest roads. The company also offers plenty of on-board equipment, in addition to trucks that are similarly rugged and robust in their operation.
Recently voted pick-up of the year, the D-Max range is a stylish successor to the older Rodeo range. And it comes with plenty of different configurations to cater to the varied uses which may be required of it by commercial buyers. A basic 2WD iteration with a single cab set-up is the most affordable option, but there are full 4WD models that have extended cabs to accommodate a whole working crew.
A five-year warranty covers new models up to a distance of 125,000 miles on the clock. And with 3.5 tonnes of pulling power under the bonnet, there are few loads this pick-up cannot tackle. Various interior options are available, including leather seats, Bluetooth-compatible entertainment systems and more. And with alloy wheels available as standard on the premium Ukon range, these pick-ups can look stylish and refined as well as being workhorses.
Isuzu D-Max Utah
Based on the same underpinnings as its stable mates, with a 2.5 litre diesel engine that can transport heavy loads without an issue, the Utah edition of the D-Max takes the premium brand to a new level. Leather upholstery is accompanied by advanced climate control for the interior, allowing for automatic adjustment of the cabin temperature to fit the situation at hand. Roof bars sit on top for extra storage, while the rear sensors help with parking and reduce the likelihood of scrapes occurring. Even the front seats get a touch of class, with built-in heating elements warming the driver and passenger when the outside temperatures have fallen.
Isuzu D-Max Blade
This special edition of the D-Max boasts the availability of more features and luxuries than its stable mates while retaining the rugged charms that they also offer. While it features 18-inch alloy wheels, not all of the changes are merely aesthetic. It also comes with a colour-coded leisure canopy to keep the rear load bed away from the elements when necessary. It is proof that you can have a utilitarian working vehicle which is also capable of keeping the driver in a very pleasant environment. Add-ons such as a bedrug for the load area and a bonnet protector for deflecting stones away from the paintwork and limiting chipping may be present on this model.
Although the D-Max has become the most popular van option from Isuzu, the older Rodeo is still available. With pick-up cabs and a range of rear add-ons available to customise this van for specific commercial uses, these models remain reliable and versatile vehicles. Make sure that when buying any used model you check that it has been well treated and properly maintained to prolong its lifespan and keep all of the systems in working order.
