For the start of 2013 Ford have stepped up a gear. the company has split their Transit brand into a series of sub brands - the Transit Connect has been around for a long time, now added to this this the Transit Custom - a one-tonne van set up to compete in Europe with the Transporter, Vito and Vivaro/Trafic set. Later in 2013 sees the bigger Transit which, despite its 'Americaised' appearance, will be sold across the world.
The Ranger pick-up has won many awards already and leads the class in many aspects- including the all important crash testing, where it has won a five star ratin with Euro NCAP.
As far as people carriers are concerned, Ford now has a full range with the Connect Tourneo and the Transit Custom Tourneo. Whether a Tourneo version of the 'big' Transit will come along, we will have to wait and see.
