The Toyota Dyana was first launched in the UK back in November 2001 and received an update in 2004, which included the introduction of airbags and then again in 2007 with the introduction of Toyota’s three-litre Euro 4 which replaced the previous 2500cc diesel. The trim levels were standardised, as well as a few subtle styling changes taking place. In 2010, the Toyota Dyna had a power increase to 134bhp and improvements made to the MPG and CO2 emissions.

Operating at 3.5 tonnes GVW, the European-built Dyna can be bought as a chassis cab, ready for body conversions or ready-bodied as a dropside or tipper. The Dyna is well itted out with standard features including touch screen Satnav, handsfree phone system and CD player. Depending on the model and body, payloads can reach as high as 1840kg

The Dyna is, like the direct competitor, the Nissan Cabstar, a cab-forward van, giving plenty of load length out back. Initially launched as the 3-tonne Dyna 300, 2002 saw the Dyna 350 join the line-up with a GVW of 3.5 tonnes and a payload of up to 1,800 kg.

Early versions were driven by Toyota’s2500cc common rail diesel engine, rated at 88bhp for the Dyna 300 and 102bhp for the 3.5 tonne Dyna 350. ... Read more >>
