Think Blue and eT!
Volkswagen places great value on powerful and efficient drives in all of its model ranges. BlueMotion technology is available in all models from the Caddy and the T series to the Amarok and the Crafter. It allows for the lowest consumption values and hence the lowest possible running costs. The most efficient models from all model ranges will be presented in a specially-designated, prominent area. The eT! will be presented as the highlight amongst the plentiful supply of series models.
This research vehicle, specially developed for delivery services, offers an insight into the future of light commercial vehicles. As a vision of the future of electric vehicles in the commercial area, it represents the maximum attainable standard of technology and is tailor-made to the extreme to meet the needs of the customer of tomorrow. It offers the option of semi-automatic and inner-city electric drive.
As the only manufacturer of light commercial vehicles Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles offers 4MOTION for all models with four-wheel drive, from the Caddy to the Crafter. Success: every fifth commercial vehicle with the VW badge sold has four independently-driven wheels. Whether for deliveries in mountain areas via ski shuttle, four-wheel camper vans, pick-up trucks for use on dirt tracks or boulevards, or a Crafter for extreme off-road use – there is a suitable solution for each customer need.
Body and equipment solutions
The main focus in terms both of vehicles and exhibition area will be on the diverse bodymaking and conversion solutions from numerous construction partners. The 5,505 square-metre Pavillon 35 and the area beneath the expo roof will host 63 different superstructures and conversions including the historical T1, the 7.5 tonne Crafter, the Amarok with its lift, the Transporter as an ambulance and the solar-powered refrigerated vehicle. Volkswagen is impressively defending its title as the market leader in this segment by presenting this most diverse range of light commercial vehicles based on four model ranges.
Further highlights of the display are CarePort, the services brand of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles and the 65 year anniversary of the Transporter which will be celebrated with an exhibition of ten historical commercial vehicles at the exhibition stand and on the outside area under the expo roof.by
