Vauxhall to Axe two Astravan Engines from Lineup

As the final deadline for Euro 5 conformity looms, Vauxhall is looking a the range of engines with the intention of rationalising the number available. We understand the Astravan 1.3CDTi and the 1.9CDTi engines are to be withdrawn for next year leaving a choice of one, Euro 5 1.7CDTi – but rated at two power outputs – 110 and 125PS. The engine is already seen in the Astra car version. Expect list prices to rise by about £150
Out goes the Astravan Sportive SE and in its place will come a new Sportive XP which will see large 17” alloys, lowered suspension and plenty of body colour coding.
