Brightening up the stand will be an example of the van fully kitted out in Police livery, as the working version of the conversion is due to start work in Cambridgeshire.

Tuesday, March 29th, 2011In a VW awards ceremony, the company chose to reward a van dealer which has been involved in community projects and works closely with local businesses. Working with the Rams – Derby County Football club – and local radio, the van centre lent a VW Caddy to the club’s mascot (a Ram) to save its hooves when travelling around Derbyshire.

As a result, Imperial Commercials VW Van Centre on Ashbourne Road was awarded the ‘Most Valued Van Centre’ for its marketing strategy by Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles UK at a glittering award ceremony in London’s Canary Wharf, hosted by Sir Trevor McDonald.
Mercedes Vito Wheelchair Conversion – Drive with Ease
Monday, March 28th, 2011One of the first Euro 5 Mercedes Vitos in the country has been converted for wheelchair use for lucky driver Jim Tidy. Supplied by South-coast based Rossetts Commercials, the Euro 5 version means the Vito is cleaner in terms of emissions than ever before. Starting life as a 9 seater Vito Traveliner, the minibus was converted by UK-based specialists to enable the driver to drive without getting out of the wheelchair.

THis gives a sign that the economy as a whole may still be on the up – vans are a good indicator of the general health of the economy. With plenty of used vans available at the moment now is a good time to buy propr to the prices hardening as a result of the 2012 London LEZ that will distort the market at the back end of this year.
Demand continued to keep values relatively firm in the used commercial vehicle market in February, despite volumes rising sharply. Average values fell by £76 (1.8%) in February while sold volumes increased by nearly 13% over the same period, following a near 50% increase between December and January. Average monthly values have broadly remained between £4,000 and £4,200 since the summer of last year.
