The Vauxhall Vivaro model is has been chosen by pump manufacturer, SPP Pumps – the company is changing its 17-van fleet to Vauxhall Vivaros.

The purchase is as a result of a demonstrator being driven by a number of the company’s engineers – they all voted for the Vauxhall Vivaro as the best to drive.

Friday, September 10th, 2010Volkswagen Vans have started to deliver their 2,000 vans to British Gas. These vans are the first to be seen in the company’s new blue livery.

The newly purchased members of the British Gas fleet include a mixture of Volkswagen Caddy and Caddy Maxi vans, plus a Crafter dropside, and the trial of a Transporter Shuttle minibus. The 2000 vans are just a fraction of the 10,000 vehicles that British Gas operate.
Web sales helps keep van values on track
Friday, September 10th, 2010Manheim Remarketing’s latest monthly Market Analysis for Vans reveals that at £3,999, average wholesale van values have fallen by just 1% (£40) compared with July. This is reflective of an underlying strength in the market, despite the usual lighter seasonal demand. Values were also boosted by a growth in online sales, with average online sales prices rising by 9.4% (£407) over the past month. Vehicles sold online in August were on average three months younger and with 1,075 less miles in comparison with July.

Iveco Daily puts together green fleet for LCV Show
Tuesday, September 7th, 2010Iveco is showing a series of five alternatively fuelled vehicles at the third LCV Show at the Millbrook Proving Ground in September 2010.

Top o fthe list is a 21 tonner Iveco Stralis Active Day 6×2 rigid using compressed biomethane (CBM). This vehicle was the first CBM-powered truck to be operated anywhere in the world by Coca-Cola Enterprises (CCE), and the first such Stralis to be delivered in the UK.
