A Telecoms business has bought a new fleet of Mercedes-Benz vans.

KC – formerly Kingston Communications – has updated its corporate look and the vans driving around in the new livery demonstrate as much to the local customers.
Supplied by Mercedes-Benz dealer H&L Garages, the 34 LWBMercedes-Benz Vito 109CDI vans are now being driven by the new company’s engineers. A number of them are fully wrapped in the corporate logo,plus local scenes such as the Humber Bridge, Hull’s KC Stadium, and regional views.

Now there is a new, bigger payload broader range of the 3500kg Relay low-loader, plant carriers. The Citroen Relay Plant & Go range has been launched to meet the needs of the landscaping, ground maintenance, hire and construction sectors. Citroën Relay Plant & Go vehicles can also be used as general purpose low-loading, flat-bed cargo carriers.

PEUGEOT CITROEN AND MITSUBISHI SIGN TO DEVELOP ELECTRIC VERSION OF PARTNER AND BERLINGO
Thursday, September 30th, 2010Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) and PSA Peugeot Citroën announced that they have signed an agreement to start the technical development of an electric version of Peugeot Partner and Citroën Berlingo LCVs built at the PSA Vigo plant in Spain.
Under this new cooperative agreement, both partners will specify all technical and industrial aspects to be able to commence production of these electric versions by the end of 2012.
This signature is a continuation of the previous Cooperative Agreement on the jointly-developed European Peugeot iOn and Citroën C-ZERO models based on the i-MiEV* new-generation electric vehicle.

Thursday, September 30th, 2010Peugeot is introducing Euro 5 diesel engines across its range of vans. The Peugeot 207 gets a choice of two Euro 5 HDi diesel engines . There is a 70PS common rail with CO2 of 110 g/km plus a 92PS HDi with just 115g/km.
Opt for a Euro 5 engine and the vans VED goes down by £75, compared to the previous Euro 4 model, to £125.00 for vehicles registered by the 31st December 2010. The Peugeot Bipper van is now available with a new 1.3 litre HDi 75 diesel engine and Stop-Start technology.

VW Shows Volkswagen Amarok and Volkswagen Transporter Rockton – Brand New Models
Friday, September 24th, 2010At this month’s Hanover show Volkswagen vans demonstrated two new variants of already brand-new models. The single cab version of the Amarok – still not arrived on our shores in any form yet – plus an off-road version of the VolkswagenTransporter – the Rockton.
With permanent all-wheel drive 4MOTION, a differential lock on the rear axle as standard, a body lift of 30 millimetres, and reinforced suspension, the Rockton can carry up to five people plus freight off-road.
Meanwhile the Amarok single cab can take two Euro pallets on its 2.2 metre load bed.
CITROËN’S AUGUST LCV SALES SUCCESS: UP 66%

The Citroën August LCV sales success reflected a strong, across-the-range performance by Citroen Nemo, Berlingo First, Berlingo, Dispatch and Relay models, which resulted in the brand’s August LCV sales reaching a total of 862 units.
Pentagon wins its first Euro 5 Mercedes-Benz Vito deal
Friday, September 10th, 2010Truck Tyre Fleet Management Ltd, one of the south’s largest independent commercial tyre service firms has ordered a Euro 5 Mercedes Vito 122cdi Dualiner van from South Coast Mercedes dealer Pentagon. “This was the first order for the New Euro 5 Vito,” said Kevin Downham, van sales manager. He says the firm looks forward to delivering the new van to Trucktyre this autumn. “We enjoy working with Pentagon,” said Scott Matthews, senior operations executive at Truck Tyre. The firm’s fleet is now nearly 50 strong and Pentagon has “always given us good value for money service.” The two firms have a long-term business relationship and are discussing possible contact service arrangements.
