Kärcher cleans up with Mercedes Vito
Friday, February 26th, 2010Mobile engineers working for cleaning equipment manufacturer Kärcher have been granted their wish with the arrival of a new fleet of 10 Mercedes-Benz Vito vans.
The engineers travel the country servicing and repairing Kärcher machinery and chose their new Vitos over vehicles by competing manufacturers.
Kärcher’s new Mercedes Vito 111CDIs were supplied by Oxford dealer Mudie-Bond.

LOMBARD SUPPLIES NEW 800-VAN SME FLEET
Friday, February 26th, 2010Lombard Vehicle Management has been appointed by national lawn treatment business GreenThumb to fund and manage a fleet of around 800 vans on an exclusive basis.
Around 230 units will be delivered during 2010 and run on contract hire, predominantly over three years and 45,000 miles.
Lombard provided GreenThumb with a whole-life cost analysis demonstrating that savings could be made not just over the vehicles’ term but also operationally through better fuel consumption. In addition the fleet will have a lower environmental impact thanks to lower CO2 emissions. The new vans, VW Caddy Maxi 1.9 Tdis, will reduce fuel consumption by 15% and CO2 by 25% over the existing fleet, some of which the VWs are replacing immediately.
700 Sprinters for Balfour Beatty
Friday, February 26th, 2010The yea r has gotoff to a good start for Mercedes-Benz Vans, which has received a major order from Balfour Beatty Utility Solutions (BBUS) for 700 Mercedes-Benz Sprinters. BBUS has its headquarters in Sheffield, offers solutions for energy- and water-providers and is part of Balfour Beatty, one of the largest construction firms in the UK and more than 30,000 employees worldwide. Delivery of the Mercedes-Benz Sprinters is set to begin in May 2010.
