2009 MODEL PEUGEOT 207 VAN
Peugeot’s 207 van was launched late in 2007 and already by 2009 the 207 was revamped. The lightweight and compact van comes with a choice of two engines – a 1400cc rated at 70PS or a 1600cc rated at 90PS – both common rail Hdi diesels. Both engines achieve the same fuel performance and CO2 rating of 62MPG and 120g/kg and use the same five-speed manual gearbox.
Payload is a modest 450kg – although the loadspace is good for the class of van at 1.1m3 and load length an acceptable 1.3 metres and just over a metre wide.
Driving the 207 is, as you would expect, like driving a car, since the 207 van is based on Peugeot’s successful car. This goes for safety and security too with twin airbags and ABS with EBD and EBA for all models. The doors lock automatically on driving off, all doors are fitted with deadlocks, the van comes fitted with an immobiliser as standard as well as visible VINs all over the place.
Power steering is standard, as are the sporty front seats, immobiliser, electric windows and plenty more.
Warranty is acceptable – a two-year, unlimited mileage manufacturer-backed scheme – customers can choose the optional third year, dealer backed warranty – you have to have driven less than 60,000 miles and had the 207 van serviced properly, however.
