Payload is a reasonable 535kg with nearly one cubic metre of loadspace to at your fingertips. The engine is Renault’s common rail 1500cc Euro 4, rated at just 68HP – but with 115g/kg of CO2 and 65+MPG it makes for a useful van.

As standard the Clio Campus van received a trip computer, ABS, EBD and brake assist, twin airbags, alarm and remote blipper. Option al extras included CD player, aircon, electric windows, full height bulkhead and a sport pack that go tyou alloys and a bit of body colour coding.
